KALKULATOR WYNIKU REKRUTACJI

In recent years, there has been a noticeable increase in the share of Polish companies in global supply chains of the aviation and space industry, caused by the development of technologies not only in the field of aviation and astronautics, but also in sectors such as IT and telecommunications services.

Taking into account market trends, we will teach you the design, manufacture, principles of operation and operation of aircraft or space objects.

In addition, you will learn about legal regulations and economic issues enabling you to efficiently navigate in an area thematically related to the field of study, and thanks to learning a foreign (technical) language at an advanced level, work
in international teams will be within reach.

Working for the aerospace industry is not only about designing complete aircraft or space objects, but often about producing individual elements, sometimes small in size, of great importance for the entire project.
The industry is looking for high-class specialists with extensive engineering knowledge, which they will be able to use in scientific and research or research centres, as well as in companies related to the aviation and space industry. We will teach you everything that employers in this sector expect and look for.

By studying Aerospace Engineering, you will gain knowledge, skills and competences in the field of:
• aircraft design and construction,
• selection of aviation and space construction materials,
• construction and operation of aircraft and space engines,
• aviation law, simulation, flight safety and technical standards and norms related to the operation of flying objects,
• air logistics,
• computer-aided design and operation technician of flying objects,
• aerodynamics and flight mechanics,
• management, including the management of structural design and development processes.

Guided by the principle that even the best knowledge cannot replace an internship, our students are required to complete professional internships. They can also improve their skills during professional internships in companies in the aviation and space sector.
In the Silesian Voivodeship there is the Katowice-Pyrzowice International Airport and many smaller sports airports (including Katowice Muchowiec, Gliwice Trynek, Góra Żar, Kaniów, Rybnik Gotartowice), which are attractive places for internships and often later jobs.

Graduates of the field of study can find a job, among others, in the following positions:
• designer of mechanical systems of aircraft and space objects,
• coordinator in international project teams,
• process engineer,
• technical consultant,
• air logistics,
• researcher or researcher-didactic worker.
It is worth adding that while studying, you have the opportunity to engage in international scientific and research projects, you gain knowledge by solving real problems, as part of Project Based Learning, you can also complete your qualifications
by going to universities with which we cooperate. To sum it up, building your professional career begins while still
at university!

The Aerospace Engineering programme is a newly created field of study, established in 2021. Graduates of the first-cycle studies have specialist engineering knowledge in the field of the functioning of the modern aviation and space industry and can find work practically all over the world.
Marek – Chairman of the Local Government Council of the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering:
“In our opinion, the above-mentioned field of study will enable the development of new, specialized engineering staff. The curriculum is written in a factual manner, emphasizing both education in the field of aircraft construction and their operation. We hope that it will meet the expectations of students and future graduates of the Silesian University of Technology.”

  • • Graduates of the first degree studies – Aerospace Engineering have specialist engineering knowledge in the field of the functioning of the modern aviation and space industry, in particular: design, manufacturing, principles of their operation as well as the operation of aircraft or space objects, materials used for aircraft construction and air transport logistics.
    In addition, they know and understand the
    legal regulations and basic economic
    mechanisms concerning the political principles
    of the state, taking into account the differences
    in their own region.
    • Appropriate general preparation, among others, in the field of economics, management principles and specialist – engineering, with particular emphasis on practical skills, allow them to adapt quickly to individual working conditions, both in large plants as well as in medium and small enterprises in the aviation industry.
    Graduates of this field of study are disciplined, with
    a high degree of independence and responsibility, they are able to create a constructive atmosphere in the workplace, they have the ability to think creatively and treat the problems encountered. In addition, they understand the situation of their own region against the background of the national and international situation in many aspects, as well as have the ability to collect information about the functioning of the institution in which they are employed.
    • From the period spent at the university, they acquire positive habits in the field of interpersonal contacts and ways of performing their profession.

Kwalifikacja odbywa się na podstawie wyników z części pisemnych egzaminu maturalnego.

P = 0,5 × Wmp + k × Wdodatkowy

gdzie:
P – liczba punktów w postępowaniu kwalifikacyjnym,
Wmp – liczba punktów (%) uzyskanych z matematyki (poziom podstawowy),
Wdodatkowy – liczba punktów (%) uzyskanych z jednego przedmiotu dodatkowego (matematyka – poziom rozszerzony, biologia, chemia, fizyka, informatyka) albo wynik egzaminów zawodowych w zawodzie nauczanym na poziomie technika,
k = 0,5 dla poziomu podstawowego,
k = 1 dla poziomu rozszerzonego,
